Oleksiy Danilov: The issue of Belarus is under the control of the President of Ukraine

The issue of possible re-invasion from the territory of Belarus is under the control of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov on-air of the talk show "Hovoryt Velykyi Lviv" (Great Lviv Speaks).

According to the NSDC Secretary, a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was held yesterday, which covered this issue among others. “Yesterday, the President convened the Headquarters, and this very issue was discussed – the issue of Belarus. All the bodies involved provided their assessments on what is happening there, the state of the Belarusian army, how many russian troops there are, what are the plans”, - he said adding that “all this is under the control of the President”.

Mr. Danilov said that following the meeting, the relevant bodies were instructed to inspect the state of preparation of fortifications in four regions. “There will be a check in four areas of the state of preparation – in case there are repeated challenges for our country, - he said. - All this is worked out every day”.

The NSDC Secretary stressed that “we understand what is happening in Belarus, in russia”, but “there is a lot of closed work that we do not report to society”.
