Oleksiy Danilov: russians need to prepare for the fact that the events that happened in the Belgorod region can happen anywhere in russia

russians need to prepare for the fact that the events that occurred in the Belgorod region can happen anywhere in russia. This was stated by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, during a national telethon on STB TV channel on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

"Such events will spontaneously occur anywhere in russia. They need to get used to it," he said, adding that putin's decision to launch a large-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 last year was the beginning of the fragmentation of russia.

Oleksiy Danilov noted that the russian federation has once again proved that its army is not the second best in the world, its border is not secure, and its territory is not inviolable. The NSDC Secretary noted that the russian authorities are in despair, as evidenced by the statements of the governor of Belgorod region and the kremlin's silence.

Commenting in this context on the statements of russian propagandists about the alleged "disappearance" or "injury" of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Oleksiy Danilov said that in this way they are trying to divert attention from the events in Belgorod region, to "interrupt" this information wave."

Answering a question about security guarantees for Ukraine, the NSDC Secretary noted that they should be "clear and understandable," and that any negotiations should be based on President Zelenskyy's peace formula.

Speaking about the twelfth meeting in the Ramstein format, where it is planned to agree on further support for Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov noted that all the accusations of russian propaganda about alleged fatigue with Ukraine and possible refusal to help our country are nonsense. "If a country professes democratic values, it will be with Ukraine until victory," he said.
