Oleksii Danilov: russia has no capabilities to defeat us militarily

The statement of russian minister of defence sergei shoigu on the readiness for “post-conflict settlement of the Ukrainian crisis” is the evidence that russia lacks military capabilities to defeat Ukraine. This was said on Wednesday, 01 November 2023, by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danilov.

“russia’s statements about starting any negotiations attest to the fact that russia does not have the capabilities to defeat us militarily. Therefore, now they are going to resort to another plan in order to destabilise Ukraine from within”, – said Oleksii Danilov.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine clarified that russians are preparing political projects, so called russian-language Fronde, which used to be present in the Verkhovna Rada.

“They are going to launch their next political projects, so to speak, “Partiia rehioniv No. 3” [“Party of Regions»]. They are going to revive movements that have long been in the political graveyard. This is what they are actively engaged in”, – he added.

For reference: on 30 October in his speech at Beijing Xiangshan Forum, russian minister of defence sergei shoigu said that moscow was ready “for political discussions on a realistic basis” – “both on the post-conflict settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and on the parameters of further coexistence with the West as a whole”.
