Representatives of the NCCC discussed strategic initiatives to strengthen Ukraine's cyber resilience with Global Affairs Canada delegation
On Wednesday, 9 October, Nataliia Tkachuk, Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Secretary of the National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity (NCCC), and Serhii Prokopenko, Head of the NCCC Support Department, held a working meeting with representatives of Global Affairs Canada.
The parties discussed strategic initiatives to strengthen Ukraine's national cybersecurity system, in particular, the establishment of a Cyber Resilience Competence Centre to enhance cooperation and situational awareness between Ukraine and partner countries, the development of regional cyber capabilities, the implementation of a project to develop women's leadership in cybersecurity, and the expansion of international cooperation in countering modern cyber threats.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the exchange of practical experience between experts from Ukraine and Canada, which will increase the level of preparedness to respond to cyber incidents and strengthen the cyber resilience of both countries.
‘In the context of russia's full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine, international cooperation is an important element of our cyber resilience. Joining forces with partners helps to develop Ukraine's cyber ecosystem, ensuring its resilience and ability to adapt to new challenges,’ said Natalia Tkachuk.
The meeting was an important step in the development of bilateral partnership in the field of cybersecurity, which will contribute to the effective implementation of joint initiatives and strengthen the National Cybersecurity System of Ukraine.
