Energy, weapons production: President of Ukraine held a meeting
On Monday, November 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The Chiefs of Staff heard reports from the Ministry of Energy, Naftogaz and other key industry players.
‘We discussed the progress of recovery after the Russian shelling on November 17 and further protection of all critical facilities. Gas infrastructure and generation: nuclear, hydro, thermal, etc. We also talked about our partnership with European countries to increase opportunities for electricity imports, in particular for business’, Zelenskyy said.
In addition to energy, the participants of the meeting heard a report from the Ministry of Defense on contracting and advance payments for Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons, shells, missiles, and drones. They summarized the work for 2024 and outlined plans for 2025.
The meeting also discussed methods of covering critical infrastructure from the sky. According to the President of Ukraine, the authorities want to take “the most effective experience of echeloning air defense assets” and extend it to other regions.
