The President of Ukraine Held a Staff Meeting: Discussed the Formation of Corps in the Armed Forces
On Tuesday, January 28, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, during which the formation of corps in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was discussed. During the session, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, gave a detailed report on the situation at the front, in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, and on the operation in the Kursk region.
“I held a Staff meeting. Among the topics discussed was the formation of corps in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are concrete developments in this area. We will continue to strengthen our army. We will scale up combat brigades and effective military expertise,” stated the head of state.
The President of Ukraine noted that additional systematic steps for modernization would be possible based on the initial brigades identified.
“On the basis of the first selected brigades, further systematic steps will be possible. Modernizing the military system is non-negotiable,” he added.
