The NCSCC Team Wins at the NATO Hackathon in France
From April 7 to 11, the annual NATO TIDE Hackathon was held in France, bringing together top developers and engineers from 11 countries and NATO. The /\/CSCC team, representing the NCSCC at the event, won on their first attempt by developing a solution with the highest potential for practical implementation.
A total of 28 teams participated in the event, five of which were from Ukraine. Over the course of four days, participants worked on developing solutions aimed at strengthening security and enhancing defense capabilities in response to modern challenges.
During the hackathon, participants tackled three challenges that required the active use of artificial intelligence:
- AI-Driven Cyber Threat Intelligence;
- AI-Driven Video Generation;
- Exploring Maps through Voice Commands.
The NCSCC team presented an innovative project in the Exploring Maps through Voice Commands category. A key feature of their solution was not only the use of artificial intelligence, but also its ability to function without an internet connection—significantly increasing its practicality in modern combat scenarios. As a result, the /\/CSCC project received the highest scores for effectiveness and implementation potential.
Other Ukrainian teams also achieved high rankings in the hackathon, reaffirming the strong expertise of our specialists and their hands-on experience in developing innovative solutions for the defense sector.
Ukraine continues to hold its position as a regional leader in cybersecurity and advanced technologies, demonstrating a readiness to share experience and knowledge with allies to jointly counter threats and strengthen collective defense capabilities.
