Oleksandr Lytvynenko discussed military and political support for Ukraine with Lithuanian Foreign Minister
On Monday, June 9, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania headed by Minister Kęstutis Budris.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Inga Stanite-Tolocienė, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Olha Nikitchenko and others.
The key topics of the meeting were the analysis of the security situation in Ukraine, continuation of international support, measures to deter and counteract Russia, and the results of the negotiation process.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine thanked the Government and people of Lithuania for their comprehensive support and informed the delegation about the current situation at the frontline and outlined the main needs of the army, in particular, ammunition, military equipment and other weapons.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys assured the Ukrainian side of further military and political support and emphasized the importance of planning assistance and political cooperation for 2026.
For his part, Oleksandr Lytvynenko emphasized that the Ukrainian side remains committed to the principles of freedom, humanity and defense of its statehood.
