The Russian Federation is not interested in a strong Ukraine, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos stated in the "Rendezvous" program on Channel 5.
"If we consider tin prospect, Russia is not interested in a strong Ukraine. The purpose of the Russian military leadership is to restore the status of a superpower. To do this, they need to return 40 million Slavs to the fold of the former Russian Empire - Putin's empire now", - he said.
Mr. Kryvonos
emphasized that for Russia, "it is absolutely unprofitable to return the
territory and end the war, which, according to their plan, should last as long
as possible".
