Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk met with former US Secretary of the Navy, Senior Military-Industrial Complex Reform Advisor Donald Winter
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk held a meeting with former US Secretary of the Navy, Senior Military-Industrial Complex Reform Advisor Donald Winter.
Mr. Danyliuk and Mr. Winter emphasized the importance of structural reforms in Ukraine's security and defense sector by NATO standards, which, in their opinion, will contribute to strengthening the country's defense capabilities, adequate and flexible response to threats to national security.
The parties discussed the development of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, the enhancement of the Navy's capabilities.
A new
national security strategy and reform of the SC "Ukroboronprom" were also
considered at the meeting. The NSDC Secretary informed that by optimizing the
work of "Ukroboronprom" it will become competitive both in domestic and foreign
markets.
