Oleksiy Danilov: Deoligarchization is one of the priorities of Ukraine’s national security
Intensifying the process of deoligarchization is one of the priorities of Ukraine’s national security. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this during the conference “National Security Strategy of Ukraine” within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. National Security”.
According to the NSDC Secretary, along with the challenge of Russia’s hybrid aggression, the active phase of which has lasted for over 7 years, Russia has long interfered in the internal affairs of Ukraine by developing political, economic, religious and media resources.
In this context, Mr. Danilov emphasized the importance of intensifying the process of deoligarchization of our state, initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the NSDC Secretary, the Head of state tasked the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Antimonopoly Committee, and the Office of the President of Ukraine to develop a law on oligarchs, individuals who influence the Ukrainian economy, domestic and foreign policy.
According to Mr. Danilov, there are 13 people who can be classified as oligarchs.
In this regard, the most important task of the state to preserve independence, he said, is to carry out deoligarchization and eliminate the “fifth column”.
