Oleksii Soloviov took part in the inaugural high-level Ukrainian-American meeting on chemical and biological security
The meeting has reiterated the commitment of the U.S. Government to partnering with the Government of Ukraine.
Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksii Soloviov headed the Ukrainian delegation at the inaugural high-level Ukrainian-American meeting on chemical and biological security, held in Krakow (the Republic of Poland).
The U.S. delegation was headed by Kathryn Insley, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of International Security and Non-proliferation.
The participants agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in strengthening Ukraine’s capabilities to prevent, detect and respond to present-day chemical and biological risks and threats. Given the persistence of threats to Ukraine’s security from the aggressor state, strengthening the capacity of the national public health system and responding to the relevant threats to protect the lives and health of Ukrainian citizens remain among the priorities of long-term cooperation with the United States.
The representatives of the two countries agreed to bring together subject-matter experts in the near future to outline further ways of strategic cooperation and activities.
Ukraine highly appreciates unwavering support and comprehensive assistance the United States has been providing to Ukraine in the face of ongoing full-scale aggression unleashed by russia.
