NCCC develops strategic leadership in cybersecurity: 50 managers trained under SJC-2024 program
Recently, the last module of the second intake of the SJC-2024 Strategic Leadership for Cybersecurity Executives program, organized by the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in cooperation with GC3, has been successfully completed. About 50 executives from the public and private sectors working in the field of cybersecurity took part in the program.
Natalia Tkachuk, Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Secretary of the NCCC, emphasized the importance of such training initiatives:
“In times of war, when the future of the country is being decided, the role of leaders becomes crucial. People's lives and national security depend on their decisions. A true leader must not only make difficult decisions, but also lead, be an example of resilience and responsibility when there are no proven algorithms and decisions must be made very quickly in the face of real danger. During a war, there may be no room for error, or it will cost a lot, both on the battlefield and in the field of cyber defense and cyber security. Therefore, leadership is about choice and responsibility, belief in what you do, understanding how things should be, and the ability to lead in any conditions. This program was created to train such managers,” said the NCCC Secretary.
Nataliia Tkachuk emphasized that the program has become a unique platform for sharing experiences and strengthening professional ties between participants: “Cybersecurity issues and challenges are global and common to all. It is important to share knowledge and information, implement innovative solutions and strengthen partnerships at all levels.”
SOPHOS.JOINT.CYBER 2.0 was developed with the participation of leading international experts to improve strategic management and decision-making in the field of cybersecurity. The program included four training modules aimed at developing critical thinking, leadership skills, and strategy development to strengthen Ukraine's cyber capabilities.
