First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy was given an order for the strengthening of military-technical cooperation with Spain

Order Ukraine is open for cooperation with Spanish companies in the defense industry, particularly in terms of joint ventures and work with Ukrainian design engineering bureaus. This was stated by First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy during his awarding with the Spanish "Order of Civil Merit" of the Commander rank.

Mr. Hladkovskiy stressed that Spain "is a great friend of Ukraine in the European Union and a reliable partner". "First of all, we are grateful to your country for support of the territorial integrity of Ukrainian state - First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine noted.

In his turn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Ukraine Gerardo Bugallo Ottone who presented the award to Mr. Hladkovskiy noticed that the Order "symbolizes gratitude and respect for your merits to Spain". "It should be particularly mentioned that thanks to your active efforts, the contacts in the military-technical sphere between Spain and Ukraine have recently intensified significantly", - Ambassador underscored.

The "Order of Civil Merit" (Orden del Mérito Civil in Spanish) was founded by King Alfonso XIII in 1926 to distinguish the civil merits to the state. The Order may also be awarded to foreign nationals for their merits to Spain.
