Oleksandr LYTVYNENKO, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine
Born on April 27, 1972, in Kyiv.
Education:
in 2013 – graduated from the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS), Great Britain; in 2009 – earned a Degree in Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; in 1994 – graduated from the Institute of Cryptography, Telecommunications and Computer Science (IKSI) with a Degree in Applied Mathematics (underwent lustration in 2015).
Speaks three languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.
Work Experience:
08.1994 – 08.1998 – served as Officer, Senior Officer, and Chief Expert of the Main Directorate of Government Communications at the Security Service of Ukraine.
08.1998 – 05.2005 – held positions of Senior Advisor, Head of Department, Deputy Director and First Deputy Director at the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
1998-2007, 2010-2014 - Visiting Assistant, Visiting Associate Professor, and Visiting Professor in the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
06.2005 – 12.2007 – Head of Directorate, Head of the Expert Commission, Head of the National Security Department at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
12.2007 – 08.2009 – Deputy Chief of the Information-Analytical Provision Department at the Security Service of Ukraine.
08.2009 – 05.2010 – Advisor to the Director of the Institute of National Security Problems at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
