Oleg Hladkovskiy hopes that the Government will soon approve the decision to simplify the procedure of export-import of military goods
First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy hopes that the Government will soon adopt a decision to simplify the procedure for export of military goods and import of components for Ukrainian enterprises-developers and manufacturers of armaments and military equipment.
During his visit to the 26th the International Land and Airland Defense and Security exhibition "Eurosatory-2018" taking place from June 11 to 15 in Paris, Mr. Hladkovskiy stated that "we managed to consolidate the efforts of state bodies and representatives of the defense-industrial complex on the issue of developing the latest models of weapons, launching new industries and supporting the development of private enterprises in the defense sphere".
"I also hope that the government will soon approve the decision to simplify the procedure for export of military goods and import of components for Ukrainian enterprises-developers and manufacturers of armaments and military equipment, - the First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine noticed. - This will not only improve the image of Ukraine on the world market but will also contribute to the development of the domestic defense industry and the expansion of cooperation with foreign partners, in particular with the French companies".
According to Mr. Hladkovskiy, in the near future legislative initiatives on some aspects of reforming the structure of the defense-industrial complex will be submitted to parliament, "and we hope that we will receive full support and understanding there as well".
At the same time, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, who during his visit to the French Republic visited the exhibition stand of Ukrainian arms manufacturers presented by SE "Ukroboronprom", promised assistance from the parliament: "Ukrainian gunsmiths can count on support at the legislative level".
Within the framework of the exhibition, the First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine met with the top-management of Airbus and Thales and discussed the possibility of providing assistance in obtaining photo evidence of the presence of armed formations of a foreign state on the territory of Ukraine and the movement of corresponding equipment and manpower.
"We are interested in that world's companies with the appropriate technical capabilities would help our country to establish a process for obtaining photo and video evidence of the presence of illegal armed formations in the East of Ukraine", - Oleg Hladkovskiy explained.
During the meeting with the top-management of Safran and Arkus, the parties also emphasized the possibility of expanding cooperation in modernizing military equipment and launching joint production projects.
