Interagency Working Group on Financing of the Security and Defense Sector Established in the NSDC Secretariat

An interagency working group on financing the security and defense sector has been set up in the NSDC Secretariat. According to the order on the creation of the working group signed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko, First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak was appointed as the head of the group.

The working group includes representatives of all entities of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, and heads of specialized services of the Rada's Secretariat.

The purpose of the working group, as noted by the Chief of Staff of the Council Dmytro Anikin, is to ensure timely and high-quality preparation of materials for the NSDC meetings on the consideration of proposals to the draft Law of Ukraine ‘On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026’ and the Budget Declaration for 2026-2028 on articles related to the national security and defense of Ukraine.
