Strengthening Air Defense Systems: The President of Ukraine Held a Staff Meeting
On Wednesday, February 26, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, during which the issues of strengthening air defense systems, drone production and other defense-related matters were discussed.
“Today, we held an important military staff meeting due to the various challenges we face. Regardless of our relations with partners, topics such as air defense systems, drones, electronic warfare systems, missiles, countering them and producing our own—are all crucial,” he emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that the meeting focused on the issue of long-range weaponry, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and air defense systems (ADS), which remain in short supply.
“Ukraine’s partners now have a clear understanding of what Kyiv expects from them at this moment. A precise roadmap has been outlined, detailing what needs to be done and what we currently possess. I am satisfied with today’s meeting,” the Head of State concluded.
