Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Discussed Strengthening the Resilience of Ukraine's Energy System with the Ambassador of Japan

On Wednesday, March 12, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, Masashi Nakagome.

The parties discussed the security situation on the front lines, Ukraine's defense needs, and areas of cooperation to ensure the resilience of Ukraine's energy system in the face of russian attacks on critical infrastructure.

Oleksandr Lytvynenko thanked the government of Japan for its extensive humanitarian and financial support and emphasized that Ukraine seeks a just and comprehensive peace.

Masashi Nakagome, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, stressed that his country's consistent policy of supporting Ukraine remains unchanged: Japan will continue to stand by Ukraine.The attendees expressed hope for deepening the partnership in 2025.
