Changes in international policy, strategic partnership: Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine met with the German Ambassador to Ukraine.

Posol FRN 17042025 1.jpgUkraine is interested in developing and strengthening its strategic partnership with Germany. This was emphasized by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, on Wednesday, April 16, during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jäger.

Posol FRN 17042025 2.jpgDuring the working meeting, the parties discussed the security situation in Ukraine and key strategies for supporting the country. In particular, they focused in more detail on the development of cooperation in the defense industry. They also exchanged views on deterring the russian federation from further aggression and on the continuation of sanctions against russia.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the German government for its unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and comprehensive support.

Posol FRN 17042025 3.jpgFor his part, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Martin Jäger assured that Ukraine’s defense capabilities, independence, and European integration course remain at the forefront of attention for Western partners. He also added that Germany is preparing another package of military assistance for Ukraine.

The parties agreed to continue coordinating their actions in the context of the current situation.
