Financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine in January-June 2021 was fully completed

Within the framework of control over the implementation of the NSDC decision of November 5, 2020 “On Proposals to the Draft Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021” in regards to articles related to national security and defense of Ukraine, enacted by the Decree of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of November 5, 2020, № 486, the NSDC Staff analyzed the state of relevant financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine in January-June 2021.

Financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine from the general fund of the state budget for this period was fully completed according to the monthly allocations schedule – 108 321,7 million hryvnias.

According to available data, the special fund of the state budget for this period received over 70,9% of revenues from the annual plan.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stressed that materials for the NSDC meeting on “Proposals to the draft Law of Ukraine ”On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022” on articles related to national security and defense of Ukraine” should be prepared taking into account the analysis. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was informed about the results of financing of the security and defense sector of Ukraine in the first half of 2021.
