Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Meets with the Delegation of the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies
On Wednesday, February 5, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Lytvynenko held a meeting with a delegation from the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies (IEEE), a research center of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, led by its director, Víctor Bados Nieto.
The parties discussed the security situation in Ukraine, current defense needs, and sanctions policy towards the aggressor state.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the government and people of Spain for their firm stance on respecting international law and their unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence. He emphasized that Ukraine is interested in real security guarantees that would enable the achievement of a lasting and just peace.
On behalf of the delegation, the director of the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies, Víctor Bados Nieto, expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and condemned Russian aggression. He stressed that today, Ukraine is defending not only its own territory but also the future and democratic values of the European continent.
The participants expressed hope for strengthening bilateral relations and continuing the dialogue between the two nations.
