Oleksandr Turchynov: If needed, a trial of bribe-takers will be conducted on a stadium in order to have enough room for everyone
During an expanded session of the panel on combating corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov urged officials to provide all necessary objective information to speed up the investigation of bribery cases.
«I look into your eyes and I want to remind you that according to the laws in place, evidence of bribe request exempt you from prosecution. Such evidence should be given very quickly», - stressed Oleksandr Turchynov, adding that investigative actions will be undertaken immediately after the session of the panel is over.
The NSDC Secretary noted that if such information were not received on time, those who didn't give evidence would find themselves in the dock. «So evidence will be given by your deputies. If not by deputies, who will be imprisoned in their turn, then by assistants. The turn of firemen will also come.
