"Russia must feel the cost of the war in order to truly desire peace”: The President of Ukraine held a Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting
On Thursday, February 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting, during which the situation regarding arms supplies was discussed.
“I held a Staff meeting. There were reports from the military, our positions on the front, and the situation with supplies: contracts, weaponry packages. The work continues to progress. I thank each of our partners who understand that strong positions are needed: both on the front to protect the people, and in diplomacy, where both strength and truth matter,” emphasized the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the meeting included reports regarding diplomatic strikes on Russian military facilities and on Russia’s infrastructure supporting the war. In particular, he emphasized that “for every two dollars invested in our long-range capabilities, we are already inflicting almost ten dollars of damage to Russia.”
“This is the necessary dynamic: Russia must feel the cost of the war in order to truly want peace,” stressed the Head of State.
Volodymyr Zelensky also added that the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service delivered a separate report, describing it as “significant matters.”
