Oleg Hladkovskiy visited the international exhibition of armaments IDEX

First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy visited one of the world's leading exhibitions of armaments IDEX (International Defense Exhibition), which takes place every two years in the United Arab Emirates.

The Ukrainian delegation headed by Oleg Hladkovskiy also included Deputy Minister of Defense lieutenant general Igor Pavlovsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yuriy Brovchenko and top managers of Ukrainian manufacturers and exporters.

During the exhibition, Mr. Hladkovskiy held a meeting with Prime Minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who visited the stand of defense manufacturers from Ukraine. First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine told about the achievements of Ukraine's military-industrial complex and demonstrated the latest examples of achievements in this field.

"We have much to offer both to the United Arab Emirates and the international community. In addition to the purchase and sale of the defense industry products, our countries should accentuate on the possibilities of joint developments and the opening of joint ventures", - Oleg Hladkovskiy said.

According to him, for many decades, an intellectual and technical base to work on new types of weapons as well as to carry out a complete modernization of the existing defense products were formed in Ukraine. "Investments in the defense-industrial complex are the guarantees of border security and protection of the integrity of any state", - Oleg Hladkovskiy noticed.

First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine also held talks with the heads of defense agencies of the Asian region and senior officials in the sphere of military-technical cooperation of the UAE.

Moreover, Oleg Hladkovskiy and president of "Antonov" State Company Oleksandr Kotsyuba held a meeting with the head of Turkish company Aselsan and discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of aircraft, particularly in avionics.

"Such exhibitions are an opportunity for Ukrainian defense enterprises to promote themselves and find partners and investors. I hope that every year our stand will expand, and Ukraine will represent more and more recent developments of the MIC products", - Mr. Hladkovskiy added.
