Oleksandr Turchynov: Ukrainians all over the world should feel like a family and work together for a common victory
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) Eugene Czolij.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the current situation in the East of Ukraine. According to Mr. Turchynov, since hostile shellings in the East of Ukraine were not stopped after another ceasefire agreement, this is an indication that "Putin is not going to get out of the occupied territory, and for him, the Donbas war is a lever of pressure on Europe and Ukraine".
The interlocutors also considered possible ways of solving the problem of blocking military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and partner countries, as well as the issue of the release of political prisoners-Ukrainians illegally detained in Russia. The sides paid particular attention to the issue of the UWC's assistance in conveying messages to Ukraine's partner states and refuting fake information about our country, which is spread by Russian propaganda.
In his turn, Mr. Czolij stressed that the priority for the Ukrainian World Congress is "to promote the international community to help overcome the hybrid aggression against Ukraine".
"For our part, we will do our utmost to ensure that the law signed by the US President on military-technical assistance to Ukraine does come to nothing but becomes a reality", - he emphasized.
Moreover, the interlocutors stated that the sanctions pressure on the aggressor country should "not only be continued but also increased".
"Ukrainians all over the world should feel like a family and work together for a common victory", - Oleksandr Turchynov summarized.
