Serhiy Kryvonos held the constituent meeting of the interagency working group on preparing proposals to strengthen the state’s defense capability

On Tuesday, the constituent meeting of the interagency working group on preparing proposals to strengthen the state's defense capability was held under the chairmanship Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos.

The interagency working group is a working body of the NSDC of Ukraine, formed under the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of May 7, 2019, "On Measures to Strengthen the Defense Capability of the State", approved by the Decree of the President of Ukraine № 200. The Regulation on the interdepartmental working group was approved by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of May 7, 2019, № 201.

The members of the interagency working group are the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Minister of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The main task of the interagency working group is the preparation by the NSDC of Ukraine of proposals for solving problem issues in the areas of: improving the territorial defense system; raising the level of military-patriotic education of youth; preparation of the military reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations; counteracting information aggression against Ukraine; organization and support of resistance movement actions.
