Oleksiy Danilov and Pawel Soloch to launch a new format of cooperation between the agencies
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov and State Secretary, Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland Pawel Soloch agreed to launch a new format of cooperation between the agencies like the “Lublin Triangle”.
A joint declaration of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Lithuania on the establishment of a new political format “Lublin Triangle” was signed on July 28, 2020 in the Polish city of Lublin.
During the video conference, the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine and the Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland stressed the constructive nature of cooperation between our security agencies. “Despite the coronavirus pandemic, our contacts have not stopped, and we continue to successfully cooperate and move forward”, - Mr. Danilov said.
According to Mr. Danilov and Mr. Soloch, joining the Lithuanian side will allow to expand and intensify trilateral cooperation in the security sphere.
The parties discussed the situation in the Republic of Belarus, noticing that the Belarusian authorities must adhere to democratic standards and ensure the rights and freedoms of their own people.
The NSDC Secretary did not rule out that the Russian Federation's intervention in the processes in Belarus may intensify, which will lead to undesirable consequences for Ukraine.
Mr. Danilov accepted the offer of his colleague to visit Poland at a time convenient for him.
