On September 28, 2021, Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov visited health care facilities of the Ternopil region as part of a working trip
On September 28, 2021, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov paid a working visit to health care facilities in the Ternopil region, which, in particular, are designated for hospitalization of patients with COVID-19.
Mr. Solovyov met with the heads of the hospital departments, the hospital administration headed by the director Andriy Artymovych at the Ternopil City Children’s Municipal Hospital. During the meeting, they discussed topical issues of the functioning of the medical industry and the Hospital in the conditions of medical reform, in particular, given the increasingly difficult epidemic situation in the state and the region, and ways to solve them.
Mr. Solovyov acknowledged the high level of readiness of the Hospital to provide medical care, in particular, to patients with COVID-19, and the appropriate level of provision of medicines. He also stressed the high professionalism of the medical staff, in particular, the head of the infectious diseases department Olga Dyvonyak.
In the city of Kremenets, the Deputy NSDC Secretary visited the Kremenets Support Hospital, where together with its director Pavlo Kisil he met with the heads of medical departments, the head of the Kremenets city community Andriy Smaglyuk, Deputy Head of the Kremenets Regional State Administration Vasyl Khortyk. The problematic issues in health care were discussed at the meeting. Mr. Solovyov visited the department for patients with COVID-19 and noted the high professionalism of doctors and nurses in providing medical care, in particular, to patients with COVID-19.
Moreover, the Deputy NSDC Secretary discussed with the Chairman of the Kremenets City Council the issues of the community's financial and economic potential and effective management of available resources. In this context, Mr. Solovyov stressed the importance of establishing the clearest and most transparent conditions for the functioning of local communities in Ukraine and fulfilling the tasks set by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of April 15, 2021 “On measures of state regional policy to support decentralization” enacted by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of April 29, 2021, № 180, which is fundamental for developing the system of interaction between central and local authorities.
