Oleksiy Danilov: A clear and transparent mechanism for servicemen’s accommodation should be developed

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov held a meeting on providing housing for military servicemen.

According to Mr. Danilov, providing housing for our military is one of the key tasks set by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy before the newly appointed Minister of Defense. Thus, the NSDC Secretary stressed the need to make relevant proposals to the budget for 2022 and develop a “clear and transparent mechanism for servicemen’s accommodation”.

In this context, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine was instructed to conduct an examination of the proposals, capabilities and capacity of house-building factories.

According to the NSDC Secretary, it is also necessary to analyze the list of existing unfinished construction sites under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development Dmytro Isaenko, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Natalia Kozlovska, representatives of the Ministry of Defense Ukraine, the State Mortgage Institution, experts of the NSDC Staff also participated in the meeting.
