Oleksiy Solovyov took part in the V International Medical and Legal Forum “Legal Regulation of Health Care Activities: Corruption Challenges during a Pandemic”
On December 9, 2021, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Solovyov took part in the V International Medical and Legal Forum “Legal Regulation of Health Care Activities: Corruption Challenges during a Pandemic” which is taking place in Kharkiv.
In his speech Mr. Solovyov stressed the timeliness of the event and noted that given the medical reform implemented in Ukraine drastically changes the foundations of public relations between the state, doctor, pharmacist, and patient in health care, it is important to ensure that such transformations have professional legal support based on the principles and experience of the European Union. In particular, the NSDC decision of July 30, 2021 “On the state of the national health care system and urgent measures to provide citizens of Ukraine with medical care”, enacted by the Presidential Decree of August 2021 № 369, provides for the implementation of a number of important European norms in Ukrainian legislation.
According to Mr. Solovyov, the results of the Forum are useful not only for practical health care but also will contribute to the further implementation of effective solutions to counter corruption in health care.
