Oleksiy Danilov: Assets of strategically important enterprises have been alienated into state ownership

Assets of strategically important enterprises, including JSC "Motor Sich", PJSC "Zaporizhtransformator", PJSC "AvtoKrAZ", PJSC "Ukrnafta", PJSC "Ukrtatnafta", were alienated into state ownership.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, announced this during a briefing on Monday, November 7, 2022.

According to him, such a decision was adopted on November 5, 2022, during a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine of December 6, 1991, № 1932 "On the Defense of Ukraine" and of May 12, 2015, № 389 "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law", due to military necessity as provided by the Law of Ukraine of May 17, 2012, № 4765 "On the transfer, forced alienation or seizure of property in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law or state of emergency."

"The seized assets acquired the status of military property, their management was transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, - he said. - Upon termination of martial law, in accordance with the requirements of the law, the specified assets may be returned to the owners, or their value will be reimbursed".

"We have the right to make such decisions to meet the country's needs under martial law", - Mr. Danilov concluded.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov also took part in the briefing.
