Ukraine has proved to the whole world that we are a nation, a free people. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov on the air of the program "Velykyi Lviv Says" on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, adding that the attitude towards our country before February 24 last year and now has changed dramatically.

Oleksiy Danilov noted that all citizens of our country really want tomorrow's holiday to be the last Independence Day that we celebrate under martial law. "And we are all making every effort to make it happen," he said, adding that it is difficult to predict when the war will end, as the course of hostilities depends on many circumstances.

"The main thing is to endure. Everything depends on us. If the current cohesion remains, the enemy has no chance to defeat us. But we still have to work hard to win," said the NSDC Secretary.

Answering the question, Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukraine does not care what russia's reaction to the delivery of F-16s will be: "F-16s will protect our skies."

At the same time, he expressed the opinion that russia will not resort to the use of tactical nuclear weapons. "They will not intimidate us or our partners," said the NSDC Secretary, adding that "after the F-16 there will be something much more interesting."
