Oleksii Danilov: The power of cooperation between leaders is an important factor in the war with russia and building the future architecture of the world
Leadership is an important factor for Ukraine in the war with russia. This was emphasised by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danivol during “The Formula of Ukrainian Leadership in Time of War” Forum, held as part of professional military education for senior defence officials at the National Defence University of Ukraine.
Addressing the audience, Oleksii Danilov recalled the events of February 2022, when President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the country’s top military and political leadership, as well as millions of Ukrainians, at the call of their hearts, stood up to defend their Homeland. “This is about leadership, about responsibility, about the things that unite us”, – he underlined.
Speaking to the audience, Oleksii Danilov presented a study on Global Trends in World Development, prepared on the basis of forecasts by intelligence agencies, governments and think tanks of the world’s most influential countries.
Presenting it, the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine explained that every 15 to 20 years, almost all countries make their own forecasts of how the world will develop, what global trends in international relations will be, how technological developments will affect the development of key economies, and based on that, they formulate a policy for the future development of the state, offering the government the potential to overcome challenges.
“Unless we understand what is happening in the world today in such key areas as demography, environment, economy, and technology, it is difficult to predict Ukraine’s role in the future global architecture”, – he said, adding that it is important to set priorities.
Oleksii Danilov highlighted that the future of Ukraine’s economy and its sustainability depend on how Ukraine will present itself in the international arena. “If we keep moving in the right direction, we will eventually get what we want - security, recognition, investment, access to markets and technology, the ability to face global challenges together with the developed world, and most importantly, the unlocking of our potential”, – he summed up.
At the end of his speech, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine stressed that russia has no chance of defeating Ukraine militarily, and we will gain the victory. And for this, cooperation and unity of leaders is important.
