Planning for 2024, production of weapons and drones: President of Ukraine chairs the Staff meeting

Today, on 26 December, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting where they discussed the supply of the Defence and Security Forces and outlined plans for 2024.

“Hundreds of companies are now involved in key production, and I am grateful to every enterprise that provides the desired result for our warriors. 2024 should usher in a significant increase in domestic defence production. Contracts and the budget provided”, – emphasised the President of Ukraine commenting on the results of the meeting.

According to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the production of all types of drones, including FPVs and ammunition, will be given special attention.

“Ukraine must become capable of meeting all the necessary needs for drones”, – he stressed.

The President of Ukraine noted that in addition to the reports of the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the Ministry of Defence, he had heard reports from Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi and the commanders of the military sectors on the situation at the front, who had made specific statements and outlined specific needs.

He also thanked the Air Force for the spectacular replenishment of the russian Black Sea submarine fleet with another vessel. “Occupiers will see no peaceful place for them in Ukraine”, – he concluded.
