Interagency educational platform for representatives of security and defence sector launched in Ukraine
Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Serhii Demediuk, jointly with the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, presented an interagency educational platform with 12 certificate programmes to representatives of the security and defence sector of Ukraine and international partners.
The event was attended by representatives of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, government and law enforcement agencies, military units, and departmental educational institutions. International partners from the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine, the NATO Delegation to Ukraine and CRDF Global Ukraine also joined the discussion.
"The educational interagency platform on the basis of the SSU Academy is an important step not only for our country, but also for international security. I hope that it will serve as a leader on the scientific and practical tracks for special services and the entire security and defence sector", - said Serhii Demediuk, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.
The interagency educational platform will enable security and defence experts to take short-term training at the SSU Academy covering such areas as counter-terrorism, operational and investigative activities, protection of critical infrastructure, operational psychology, protection of сlassified information, crisis negotiation, countering crimes involving virtual assets, etc.
"The topics of the educational programmes of the interagency educational platform are driven not only by two years of full-scale military aggression, but primarily by the needs and demands of our Security and Defence Forces. Over the past two years, the SSU Academy has already conducted dozens of trainings for the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Staff, and the Ministry of Defence. This shows the demand for our educational services", - said Andrii Cherniak, the rector of the Academy.
He also added that the programmes are flexible and can be tailored to the individual needs of the security and defence sector.
