Oleksandr Lytvynenko: When Europe supplies arms to Ukraine, it protects itself

By supplying weapons to Ukraine, European countries are protecting themselves from the threats of military aggression from putin's russia. This was emphasised by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko at a meeting with leading French journalists, editors and geopolitical experts on Tuesday, 16 April.

The journalists came to Ukraine to support the interest of French citizens in our country, to enhance understanding of the areas of support for our country in countering russian aggression and overcoming the consequences of the war.

Oleksandr Lytvynenko expressed his gratitude to the partner countries for their support and underlined that without this assistance the situation at the frontline would have been extremely difficult. At the same time, he noted that Ukraine still needs weapons to defend and liberate its territory.

"For us, this is a war for life. Our task is to stop russia and ensure peace for at least several generations to come. However, we will not be able to do this without powerful military assistance", - he said.
