Manning brigades, weapons and equipment for soldiers: The President of Ukraine chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting
On Monday, 30 September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting. The key issues discussed included the situation at the front, manning of brigades, procurement and supply of weapons.
‘Today, I have chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting. There are several key issues. The first is the manning of brigades. The second is weapons and equipment for our soldiers, procurement and supply.
Today, we also discussed with Defence Minister Umierov the execution of contracts and how the institutions within the Ministry of Defence work. All real reform steps must be fully implemented,' said the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he had had a ‘detailed and very long’ conversation with Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Anatolii Barhylevych: ‘The conversation lasted more than two and a half hours.’
According to the Commander-in-Chief, during the conversation, reports on each of the frontline areas were heard.
‘The situation is very tough. The most important thing is to put pressure on russia by all means, with all tools, in order to achieve our goal - a real and just peace for Ukraine, for all our people - as soon as possible,' stressed Zelenskyy.
