President of Ukraine chairs Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting in Sumy region

On Friday, 4 October, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting in Sumy region. The issues discussed at the meeting focused on air defence and energy.

‘The main issue is the protection of our infrastructure, our energy sector - the work of air defence,’ said the President of Ukraine.

Acting Commander of the Air Force Anatolii Kryvonozhko and Commander of the Air Command ‘East’ Ivan Terebukha reported on the measures taken to strengthen the defence of Sumy region, other border regions and the whole country.

Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko informed about the restoration of electricity supply in Sumy and in the communities of the region, further security of generation and distribution facilities, and preparation of backup equipment for the winter.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the overall situation on the battlefield and in the most difficult areas, Kursk operation, the supply of equipment and ammunition to the frontline, and the manning of brigades.
