Supporting Ukraine in rebuilding and recovery: Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with a delegation of Italian MPs

The situation on the frontline, the priority needs of Ukrainian soldiers, weapons production, restoration of energy infrastructure, and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. These and other issues were discussed during a meeting between NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko and a delegation from the Italian Parliament headed by Giorgio Mule, Deputy President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and President of the Italy-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Group.

The delegation also included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine Carlo Formosa, Chairman of the XII Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Chairman of the Italy-Ukraine Friendship Section Ugo Cappellacci and others.

The NSDC Secretary thanked the Italian people for their support and joint work to restore a just peace. In particular, he stressed that Ukraine highly appreciates Italy's steadfast stance in support of the Peace Formula and our integration into the EU and NATO. Discussing the priority needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a special emphasis was placed on the fact that Ukraine needs long-range capability and more air defence systems.

For his part, Giorgio Mule, Deputy President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, assured that his country would continue to support Ukraine in restoring its energy system and implementing the Peace Formula.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on all the issues discussed.
