Protecting the energy sector, strengthening air defense: The President of Ukraine chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting

On Tuesday, October 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting dedicated to the protection of energy infrastructure and preparation for winter.

"Energy Staff meeting. Comprehensive preparation for winter. Reports from all those involved in the process: Naftogaz, Ukrenergo, the Ministries of Energy, Internal Affairs, Community and Territorial Development, the Air Force, and regional military administrations. All levels of energy infrastructure protection: engineering, electronic warfare and air defence. Our aviation will take an active part. We also made a decision to strengthen air defense in the border and frontline regions," summarised the Head of State.

The President of Ukraine noted that in the course of the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had presented a plan of measures to respond to shelling and promptly restore the damage. Also, according to him, work is underway to create a dispersed network of cogeneration units.
