Strengthening air defense, countering guided aerial bombs, weapons production: President of Ukraine chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief
On Monday, November 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
The participants of the meeting discussed a number of issues, including strengthening air defense and new solutions to combat guided aerial bombs.
Acting Commander of the Air Force Anatoliy Kryvonozhko made a report, providing more details on the fight against Russian aerial terror.
‘Strengthening air defense in the regions that need it most, developing new solutions to combat UAVs, and strengthening mobile fire groups. Now Russia is using about ten times more Shaheds than last fall, so we must fully counteract them,' Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
During the meeting, the participants also heard reports on Ukraine's own production - shells, weapons, equipment, electronic warfare equipment, drones. They discussed the results of contracting for the current year and planning for the next year.
'We reviewed 3-5-year contracts that we offer to Ukrainian manufacturers of strategic drones. We need a long planning horizon, development and investment for manufacturers. There was also a report by the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on the use of such long-range drones, prioritization, and planning of operations,' the President of Ukraine summarized.
