Strengthening cooperation in the defense industry: NSDC Secretary met with Swedish Minister of Civil Defense
On Tuesday, November 5, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with a delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden headed by Minister of Civil Defense Carl-Oscar Bohlin.
The parties discussed security issues. In particular, they talked about bilateral projects to strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deepen cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden in the defense industry.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko thanked the Swedish side for its strong solidarity with our country and the assistance provided to effectively combat Russia's armed aggression.
'I hope that the cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and Sweden will become stronger,' Mr. Lytvynenko emphasized. He also added that the state needs additional air defense equipment to strengthen the protection of the national energy system from enemy missile and drone attacks.
For his part, Swedish Minister of Civil Defense Carl-Oscar Bolin assured of his unwavering support for Ukraine and readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the defense industry, taking into account the military experience of the Kingdom of Sweden.
