Protecting Ukraine's critical radiological infrastructure in response to internal threats: A practical webinar was held
On January 15, 2025, a practical online webinar "Protecting Ukraine's Critical Radiological Infrastructure: Internal Threats at Radiological Infrastructure Facilities" was held as part of the project "Protecting Ukraine's Critical Radiological Infrastructure."
The webinar was organized by the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) with the support of the Critical Infrastructure Security Division of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) and the U.S. Department of State.
During the webinar, participants had the opportunity to learn about the key insider threats at radiological infrastructure facilities, as well as the principles of their detection, prevention, and mitigation.
The event was attended by 60 representatives from government authorities, JSC "Energoatom" and its regional divisions, State Regional Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health, and the National Non-Profit Institution "National Cancer Institute."
The webinar trainers included two international experts from the United States of America: Noelle Camp and Andrea Viski and Serhiy Drapey – an Ukrainian expert from the John Kuzmych Training Center for Physical Protection, Accounting, and Control of Nuclear Material.
