First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy had a meeting with the official delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Thailand headed by Deputy Minister General Udomdej Sitabutr.

In the course of the meeting held on September 14, the questions of current cooperation and promising directions of cooperation in the military-technical sphere between Ukraine and Thailand were discussed.

First Deputy to the NSDC Secretary of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy stressed the unconditional fulfillment by the Ukrainian party of the current agreement on the supply of MBT BM Oplot and placed focus on the implementation of a set of measures to enhance the quality and improve machinery and equipment produced by Ukrainian enterprises of the defense industrial complex.

Within the context of future cooperation development, the Ukrainian party confirmed its willingness to cooperate in launching the production in Thailand of armored vehicles, including armored personnel carriers BTR-3E1, with the transfer of technology.

Representatives of the Thai party expressed interest in continuing cooperation and noted that they are considering Ukraine as a reliable long-term partner with significant potential in the defense-industrial sector.

During the visit, the Thai delegation visited SE "Malyshev Plant", SE "Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau" (in Kharkiv) and SE "Kyiv Armored Repair Plant" (in Kyiv).
