The age group of 10 to 39 years faces the lowest risk in case of getting sick with COVID-2019 coronavirus, the group of 80+ years - the highest
The Main Situation Center at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine conducts round-the-clock monitoring of the situation over the spread of COVID-2019 coronavirus worldwide. According to the results of the analysis and modeling of a possible option of the COVID-2019 coronavirus spread in Ukraine, risk groups are divided by age category.
According to the results of modeling, persons aged 10 to 39 years face the lowest risk, with the probability of disease being at 0,2%. For 40-49-year olds - 0,3% respectively; for 50-59-year-olds - 1,3%; for 60-69-year-olds - 3,4%, and for 70-79-year-olds - 7,8%. Elderly people aged 80+ are at the highest risk, the probability for them is 13,5%.
People who suffer from respiratory disease and diabetes are in the high-risk category.
