Oleksiy Danilov: The National Resilience Coordination Center should be established in Ukraine
The National Resilience Coordination Center should be established in Ukraine. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this during an interagency working meeting with the participation of representatives of the executive bodies, people’s deputies of Ukraine and the expert community, which took place on Friday.
Mr. Danilov reminded that the National Security Strategy of Ukraine recently approved by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy envisages the establishment of the national system of resilience to ensure a high level of readiness of society and the state to respond to a wide range of threats.
He emphasized that establishing such a system and an appropriate coordination center is an extremely urgent issue for Ukraine. “It’s all about fundamental threats”, - he said.
According to the Secretary of the Council, the Center should become not only a structure for rapid response to challenges but also a powerful analytical hub, which will employ specialists - representatives of the security and defense sector.
“Ukraine has all the capacity to ensure the work of such a Center: the Situation Center of the Head of State at the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Main Situation Center of Ukraine, the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity at the NSDC”, - he said.
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Roman Mashovets, First Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbulin, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Deputy Secretaries of the NSDC of Ukraine Serhiy Demedyuk and Oleksiy Solovyov, Acting Director-General of the Government Office for Coordination on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Oleksiy Henchev participated in the meeting.
