Preliminary results of the state defense order in 2021 have been summarized at the NSDC Staff

In accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of March 11, 2021, on the main indicators of the state defense order for 2021 and 2022, 2023, the Council’s Staff summarized the preliminary results of the state defense order in 2021.

In 2021, state customers of the security and defense sector signed more than 600 contracts, under which 98,8% of state budget allocations for the purchase of defense goods, works, and services were paid, which is almost 2% more than in 2020.

The largest state customer in terms of budget allocations, the Ministry of Defense, fulfilled the task by 99,5%.

Also, all planned tasks were performed by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

However, the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine should improve the results of implementing tasks on the production of weapons and military equipment this year as compared to 2021.

According to the results of the state defense order, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations received more than 3,000 basic weapons, military and special equipment, up to 4 million ammunition and missiles for various purposes, about 3,000 night vision devices, and more.

In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received new unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar TB2, modern communication means, armored weapons and equipment, reconnaissance drones, shore-based anti-ship cruise missiles “Neptune”, electronic warfare systems, etc.
