The Head of the specialized service of the Staff of the National Security Council of Ukraine took part in the International Conference on the Promotion of the Role of Women in Combating Cybercrime

The Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the Staff of NSDC of Ukraine, the NCSCC Secretary Natalia Tkachuk, took part in the International Conference on Promoting the Role of Women in Countering Cybercrime, held in San Jose (Costa Rica) 10 - November 11, 2022.

Opening the conference, the head of the specialized service emphasized that the world's first cyber war is currently underway, informed about the cyber crimes committed by the russian federation against Ukraine, in particular, about the numerous cyber attacks of the aggressor country on critical infrastructure and their consequences, which every Ukrainian is now feeling.

"Ukraine is winning this cyber war, in particular, thanks to the talented women of the security and defense sector, who work hard every day to protect cyberspace. Many girls in the IT army, from among the cyber volunteers, etc. show amazing results. In Ukraine, tens of thousands of women are fighting for victory side by side with men on the front lines and in cyberspace. Our example shows that gender does not matter when there is a struggle with a terrorist country for the independence of one's state,"  Natalia Tkachuk said.

Natalia Tkachuk thanked the participants for their comprehensive support of Ukraine and their contribution to strengthening the position of women in the global architecture of combating cyber threats.

The conference took place within the framework of the Council of Europe CyberEast project, which is financed by the European Union. It was attended by heads of relevant departments, government officials, representatives of international organizations and the expert community - in total, about 190 experts from 50 countries of the world.
