More than UAH 1.7 trillion for the security and defence forces: Funding is being delivered in full
In January-November 2023, the security and defence sector of Ukraine was financed by the general fund of the state budget in full in accordance with the monthly allocation plan, amounting to UAH 1,700,152.6 million, or 27.1% of GDP.
The analysis of the results of the relevant financing of the security and defence sector of Ukraine was carried out on instructions from Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danilov.
According to Mykola Dyshliuk, Head of the Service for Financial Support of National Security and Defence, the special fund of the state budget for the security and defence sector received UAH 624,657.7 million, or 539.7% of the annual plan.
In order to fully utilise the funds allocated for this year, the security and defence sector agencies are currently working on proposals to optimise expenditures and attract free balances to finance critical needs for 2023.
The Head of the Service added that the NSDC Office continues to carry out monitoring activities in accordance with the established procedure as part of the control over the implementation of the relevant decision of the NSDC of Ukraine.
